THE SUMMIT AT ELLIJAY- AN OASIS FOR THE ACTIVE ADULT The Summit at Ellijay is Ellijay’s first 55+ Active Adult Resort Community! Nestled within the city limits of Ellijay, this 220 home gated community boasts an amenity and service package unlike any other in North Georgia! The gated, waterfall entrance will be followed by tree-lined streets that wind up to the apex of the 65 Acre property where the 12,000 square foot log clubhouse sits, overlooking the beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountain Range. This grand clubhouse will be complete with a grand room and kitchen so the community members can eat together at the regularly scheduled engagements. Members will be able to enjoy swimming year-round in the indoor, heated pool and exercise at the fitness and aerobics center. Other amenities within the clubhouse include a coffee shop, movie theatre, craft room, library, gentlemen’s room, jacuzzi hot tub, and 5,000 square feet of outdoor decking to sit and enjoy the beautiful Ellijay scenery! The developers at VIZIONWORKS, LLC feel as though the active adult has worked hard most of his or her life. Now is the time for The Summit to give back. This community is based on “maintenance-free living” for its members. The “Mayor” at The Summit is a full-time, on-site property manager whose office will be located inside the clubhouse. Some duties of the “Mayor” will include: setting up regularly scheduled eating engagements at the clubhouse, organizing events and aerobics classes, and property management. The “Mayor” will also be available any time as a “concierge” for the members and will perform any requested tasks, from booking tours to setting up tee times at surrounding golf courses. The Summit at Ellijay has taken “maintenance-free living” to the next level by having a full-time landscaper who will maintain the outside of each member’s home and yard so the homeowner doesn’t have to. A 24-hour handy-man will be on call to help with anything that needs to be done around the house-even if it is just to help with moving a heavy box or piece of furniture! Green Space Conservation is big at The Summit! A large portion of the property will be left in its natural state and preserved so that it can never be developed. Community members will be able to enjoy these green areas by taking a stroll on The Summit’s pervious walking trail system that will wind throughout the conserved areas. Construction is currently underway at The Summit and homes will start at $239,000 in Phase I.
